Senior’s voice
What is your job in company?
I'm mainly in charge of assembling the PHI nanoTOF II (time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer) and the PHI 5000 VersaProbe III (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy microprobe). I also help with assembling some of the other models, but going forward, I want to expand my capabilities to be able to handle more models so that I can support those around me when it gets busy.
What made you decide to work for ULVAC-PHI?
I started off as a temporary contract employee, but when I decided to quit the agency, I was invited to work directly for ULVAC-PHI. When I was trying to decide whether to join the company, some of the people I worked with called me and encouraged me to join. I was really glad to receive those words of encouragement, and that helped me make my decision to join.
What are your future dreams and goals?
From a work perspective, I want to learn more about other aspects besides just assembling instruments, and deepen my understanding about the test process (the process after assembly) so that I'm in a better position to support others in the workplace. Also, this is more of a personal goal, but I want to be someone that others can rely on. I especially want to help my juniors, and I want them to be able to rely on me. I want to make a difference in the environment around me and my connections to those I work with little by little while I pursue my own growth.
